I’ve lived locally for the past 24 years, working for a nearby breakfast cereal company, where I became a union representative for USDAW. I’m vice-chair of my branch, an inclusion champion, a mental health first aider, and a steering group member—advocating for workers’ rights and fostering a culture of equality and belonging.

I’m passionate about equality and currently serve as a member of the East Midlands Regional Equality Forum, promoting equal opportunities and access for all. I also serve the community as a Burton Latimer Town Councillor. I believe in active listening and making decisions that reflect the shared values of our community.
