Alan Irwin - Geddington

Introducing Alan Irwin - your Labour candidate for Geddington & Stanion ward - also covering Newton, Little Oakley, Stanion, Warkton, Weekley, Grafton Underwood and Cranford.

Alan is a former steelworker and academic, and has run businesses in sport and education across the UK and Europe. He served as a councillor before and spent over 40 years working with local charities and community groups, raising funds and supporting grassroots projects.

Alan is currently branch secretary for the GMB union, helping people with workplace issues and standing up for fairness and respect at work. Passionate about health and wellbeing, he has mentored young people and vulnerable adults through sport and community initiatives. He would be proud to bring that experience to serve the people of Geddington, Little Stanion and the surrounding villages.
