In an earlier blog post last week I let you know about work that Network Rail is currently carrying out. This work is taking place overnight on the railway between Kettering and Corby to electrify the Midland Main Line as part of their upgrade plan.

The orignal blog post can be read here: https://www.ketteringlabourparty.org/warning-troubled-nights-ahead-electrification-of-midland-main-line-railway

I've now been told that there is a "public information exhibition" at Newlands Shopping Centre in Kettering on Saturday 28th January between 10am" and 4pm, and I wanted to let you know in case you wanted to find out more.

I have lived in the borough for almost 40 years, and raised my family here. I was first elected to Kettering Borough Council in 1994, and was deputy leader of the Labour group, and lead spokesperson for housing and the voluntary sector, for many years. Now retired, but for many years I was the CEO for Kettering Centre for the Unemployed running education courses and providing support to those with little or no basic qualifications. I was elected to the new Kettering Town Council for Wicksteed & St Michaels and to Burton Latimer Town Council in May 2021.
