For too long the green space at the junction of Hazelwood Court and West Street has been used as a dog toilet with the owners seemingly incapable of clearing up after their dogs.

As local councillors, Keli Watts and myself have informed the Council’s dog warden in the hope he may be able to catch some of the culprits. We also arranged for signs to be put up reminding people to the clear up afterwards and unfortunately so far all of this doesn't seem to have helped.

It seems that some people are just determined not to clear up after their dogs regardless of how offensive everyone else finds it!

We have now succeeded in persuading the council to install a small fence to make it harder to get to the grass. It looks good, and hopefully this will finally make some difference, although given they have left an access space for their lawn mowers so we'll have to see.
