It was so good to be at the opening of The Refill Shop and The Wine Room at The Yards on Saturday to celebrate May Day with Labour candidates for the coming elections Keli Watts, Cindy Wrighting, Anne Lee, Adam Balmer, Andy Byatt, John Padwick and Clark Mitchell. And great to see our design supremo Louise Verity, too.
The whole place was buzzing and the atmosphere was brilliant. Burger Mania and Spaghetti Rock provided us with delicious food and the weather was kind, for once. It would be so good to keep this support going and help The Yards become a success story for businesses like Illicit [for all things skateboard] that really deserve to thrive.
Kettering really needs to welcome small independent traders and to support them - let’s hope the new Town Council and North Northamptonshire unitary council can do just this.
