Gareth Coe – Loatland Ward

Gareth Coe – Loatland Ward

Gareth Coe is 27 years of age, has children at local schools and already has a record of service in the local community. Gareth is Desborough born and bred and he lives in the Loatland Ward.

Gareth has done a lot of work through community-based organisations and has recently created his own group ‘Clean Up Desborough’ through which he arranges and takes part in activities across the town including litter picks, weeding and general tidying up of the local environment. Gareth is a member of the ‘Desborough in Bloom’ Committee.

Gareth and his family are passionate supporters of Desborough Town FC. His father is currently on the committee and his grandfather was the club secretary for thirty years until his death in 1987. Gareth played for Desborough Town at under 18 level and senior level until he had to stop playing due to injury. Gareth is young and passionate about Desborough and would welcome the opportunity to serve on the town council.

Gareth says: ‘Prior to the Council elections in 2015 there were five Labour Councillors on the Town Council to hold the controlling Conservative group to account and speak up for the community. Judging by what has happened over the last three years, I believe it is even more important to have Labour representatives on the council and I hope you will feel able to give me your support’.
