Councillors Raise funds for Home-Start Kettering in Abseil & Dragon Boat Race

Two of our Labour Councillors are taking part in charity events to help raise money for Home-Start Kettering. Home-Start is a charity that carries out important work helping and assisting families with young children, no matter what life throws at them. This includes helping with post-natal depression, disablility, isolation, stress and other challenges which can lead to crisis or other family issues.

Maggie Don, Borough Councillor for Wicksteed & St Michael's Ward, will be abseiling down the lift tower in Northampton at 11am on the 22nd April - all 481ft of it! You can sponsor Maggie by clicking here - she's aiming to help raise over £2000.

Then on the 3rd September Mick Scrimshaw, Borough Councillor for William Knibb Ward and County Councillor for Northall Division, will be part of Kettering Home-Start's Dragon Boat team at Wicksteed Park's annual Dragon Boat Race.
