Kettering’s new night shelter for rough sleepers, Safe Until Daylight, has launched an appeal for help, please consider helping if you can!

Safe Until Daylight will be opening their winter shelter for those who have no home throughout winter. This follows a successful pilot between February and the end of March earlier this year and will open from 2018 to March 2019. The shelter will have beds for up to 15 people who have no home, and each person will be referred through Kettering Borough Council’s Housing Options Team.

Safe Until Daylight are looking for support in running the shelter and in donations to receive from the community. With donations, they especially need help with the following products:

  • Towels (hand and bath)
  • Flannels
  • Soap
  • Tooth Paste
  • Tooth Brushes
  • Shampoo
  • Deodorant
  • Washing powder
  • Men’s Socks

Donations can be dropped to KCU Main office at 51 Gold Street, Kettering – please ask for Sylvia.
