I addressed yesterday’s County Council Cabinet meeting and welcomed the £1.1m that the Government announced they were to give to the County Council specifically for pot hole repairs but said it was "a disappointingly low figure".

The Councillor in charge of roads agreed with me and said "it was like a drop in the ocean," and in answer to my specific question of "what the current estimated cost of bringing our roads up to standard actually is...." he answered "between £300m and £400m".

It’s no wonder I get constant complaints about potholes.
