Tom Watson, Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, has taken a look at 15 of the Tory Promises that Theresa May might use the upcoming General Election to wriggle out of.
After all, as Tom says, "Many of the promises that won David Cameron the 2015 election have since proved to be undeliverable - and there's a good chance that Theresa May will now simply drop them. We already know - from her decision to call a snap election she'd previously promised wouldn't happen - that she's prepared to go back on previous commitments."
So look out for these - they were once central planks of the Tory offer to the country, and they could get ditched too.
I have lived in the borough for almost 40 years, and raised my family here. I was first elected to Kettering Borough Council in 1994, and was deputy leader of the Labour group, and lead spokesperson for housing and the voluntary sector, for many years.
Now retired, but for many years I was the CEO for Kettering Centre for the Unemployed running education courses and providing support to those with little or no basic qualifications.
I was elected to the new Kettering Town Council for Wicksteed & St Michaels and to Burton Latimer Town Council in May 2021.
